Dreverna Autumnal Equinox
Continuous international project DREVERNOS RUDENS LYGĖ (Dreverna Autumnal Equinox). This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event, which is initiated annually by Dreverna House of Culture. Meanwhile, Krikragaa Craftsmen’s Guild gets creatively involved in the development of the project for the sixth consecutive year. The main goal of the event is to mark the beginning of astronomical autumn and to stop in the moment of autumnal equinox.
The event programme links culture and art, boldly juxtaposes elements of traditional folklore, theatrical acts, film and animation screenings, modern installations and exhibitions. Every year, guild members think of new and exciting content elements that make the event unique. The thrilling climactic object of the event, the fire sculpture, remains in the reviving small boat harbour. Episodes of transformation, tranquillity and rituals are followed by the traditional dance night: traditional dance tunes from different countries resound into the small hours of the morning.
The idea of the event and the spectacle brings together a lot of enthusiastic, like-minded young people thanks to whom beautiful results are achieved. The implementation of the project also stimulates the community of the association to unite for common work and to share new experiences: both creative challenges and organisational processes.
